Almost Spring
A early spring bloom fluttering in the breeze...
A trip to an Indian market...
A delicious veggie wrap at a bakery I've somehow overlooked...
An etching purchased at the Goodwill for 20 cents...
A refreshing alternative to the usual sugary breath mints....I am grateful for days such as this.

I was at the library, looking at the featured nonfiction near the entrance along with every person seeking shelter from the rain. Someone working there asked me if I was waiting for someone, as I was reading Martha Stewart's Wedding Cake book.
I enjoy cooking but I do not bake because it is unforgiving. I will admit enjoying Martha Stewart radio on Sirius....
I appreciate Wendy Kromer's cakes. Nearly anything can adorn towers of fondant-wrapped cake...mushrooms, for instance. I like her bitchy daughter, Alexis, on Sirius...
Sandra, what is that in your little tin of York Mints? Just as you are enjoying the first breaths of spring we are welcoming the coming coolness of autumn - not that we have had an exceptionally hot summer this year in our neck of the woods. Take care
That is mukhwas - a delicious mixture of coriander, fennel seed, sesame seed, turmeric, sugar, salt and little colorful sweet candies served in Indian restaurants as an after dinner breath freshener. The combination of sweet and savory is wonderful.
I will break the anise-flavored bits between my teeth and think of you.
