Festival in the Park

Festival in the Park is a long running tradition held on Memorial Day weekend in Elmwood Park. The festival was blessed with a warm, clear day conducive for wandering around taking in

Fine art...


Or not...



An exhibit of local school children's art...


Sidewalk chalk musings...


Sharply dressed men playing old time music...


And a papier mache hair barrette I purchased in an attempt to control my increasingly unruly hair as I let it grow....


And there's nothing to do in Roanoke?

And there never has been anything to do in this town...right? That's what I heard from my duaghter growing up! Love the barrette! It's beautiful!
