On my balcony...

I think of Paul Gauguin, who left his Parisian balcony and the respectable life and the wife and kids (for whom he is still much maligned), to retreat to Tahiti.
I think of "Te Burao", "The Hibiscus Tree" and I notice the lack of blooms upon the canvas's enlargement. I think of the bitter, dark bloom, though its scent is intoxicating, (hid from view, too.)
